Connie looked after our Mum for the final 8 months of her time at home whilst we were deciding on the need for continuous care in a care home. Mum has advanced dementia and incontinence and mobility problems. She was an absolute pleasure to employ, always reliable and totally flexible when required. She provided for mums cleaning and hygiene needs. She cooked and prepared meals for her following guidance from an NHS dietician. This was pivotal in arresting and to an extent reversing mums worrying weight loss. Nothing was too much trouble and Connie also helped with some shopping and cleaning. She checked on mum three times a day almost every day of the week, calling on support from a colleague to cover longer periods one day a week to allow some respite for mums partner. The domestic and house situation was less than ideal but Connie never complained and navigated difficult situations sensitively. We were kept informed by good communication at least once a day. I came across East Kent Care and Connie almost be accident. The care for my Dad was unbelievably wonderful after various experiences of post hospital care (even though some of it was quite good!) But Connie offered something more genuine, loving, special and responsive to the personality and particular needs of her client (and me), beyond expectations. Connie and her team have delivered the most marvellous support for my frail, elderly mum over the last months.
